jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The National Awakening Party (PKB) said that their party can correct the election of a legislative candidate at both the DPR RI and DPRD levels if they are proven to have violated the law. PKB will not turn a blind eye if its cadres are involved in a case.
This was conveyed by the Chairman of the PKB DPP Luluk Nur Hamidah responding to the status of the suspect as a member of the Central Java DPRD (Jateng) elected from the PKB for the electoral district (Dapil) V Grobogan-Blora, Abdullah Aminudin.
Abdullah holds the status of a suspect in the alleged land mafia syndicate at the Central Java Regional Police.
“At any time the party can correct it if there is a clear violation of the law committed by the person concerned,” said PKB DPP Chair Luluk Nur Hamidah to journalists, Wednesday (3/4/2024).
Luluk emphasized that PKB completely handed over the ongoing legal process to the Central Java Regional Police.
Note, he said, that the party created by Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) still respects the principle of presumption of innocence.
“Yes, at the very least, PKB will submit to the legal process while still respecting the principle of presumption of innocence,” said Luluk.
On the other hand, Luluk explained that canceling the status of elected legislative candidates depends on concrete reasons. One of them is the legal status that has been implemented.
