The Ministry of Planning has determined the percentage of completion of the infrastructure rehabilitation and development project for Al-Hay District in Wasit Governorate.
A statement by the Ministry of Planning received by the (INA) stated that “the Ministry of Planning carried out a field visit to the infrastructure rehabilitation and development project for Al-Hay district in Wasit Governorate, to see the stages of work progress and the rates of completion in it, within the government program.”
He added, “The project is one of the vital and strategic projects in the governorate, which improves the service reality of the residents of Al-Hay district, whose number is estimated at more than (100) thousand people,” explaining that “the aim of the project is to reduce distances, relieve traffic congestion, and facilitate the smooth flow of traffic in the district, in addition to reducing traffic accidents, and to improve the service and aesthetic reality of the governorate.”
He explained that “the project includes paving the streets with asphalt, pouring concrete with an area of (600) thousand square meters, scraping works with an area of (635) thousand square meters, as well as rain drainage lines with a length of (6) thousand meters, extending clean water pipes with different diameters starting from (110) millimeters, reaching (225) millimeters, the heavy water network and connecting it to homes, as well as electricity works, extending and installing manholes for communication lines with a length of (40) thousand meters, planning the streets and installing traffic signs, and also paving the walkways of the streets and squares with muqarnas.”
The statement indicated that “the project includes about (75) kilometers, which includes the neighborhoods: (Al-Hussein, Al-Zahraa, Al-Rabi’, Al-Asra, Al-Shuhada, Al-Rashidiya, Al-Wahda, Al-Moalem Al-Thaniya, Al-Asri, Al-Zeitoun, Al-Askari, Saeed, Al-Gharraf, Al-Hurriya Al-Ula, Al-Hurriya Al-Thaniya and Dar Al-Ray), and pointed out that the project completion rate has reached (92%), and it is hoped to be completed by the beginning of 2025.”
