Italy did it. Even with a shiver, she signed up today to Riad, Saudi Arabiahis 59th site, in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site. The new entry is located in Emilia Romagna and consists of seven areas, spread across four provinces. A relatively unusual fact – but strongly desired this year by the Italian delegation within the United Nations agency responsible for culture – the Karst in the evaporites and caves of the Northern Apennines it is and will be part of the natural heritage, and not the cultural one, in which the vast majority of the universal beauty branded Belpaese gravitates.
