The players were selected on behalf of Senior Athletic Association in Tiruvannamalai District.
The 40th Tamil Nadu State Senior Athletics Championship will be held from 6th to 9th January at Ossur, Krishnagiri District.
Thiruvannamalai District Senior Athletic Team Selection Competition was held at Thiruvannamalai District Sports Hall.
Karthi Velmaran, president of Tiruvannamalai District Senior Athletic Association, was the special guest and inaugurated the sports team competition and gave advice.
More than 60 people between the ages of 30 and 80 participated in this. Competitions like shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, chain shot throw, long jump and high jump were held for them. 52 of them were selected to participate in the state level competition.
District Vice President Arumugam presided.
More than 100 physical education directors, players of all categories, physical education teachers, senior athletic association administrators participated in this.
