(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 30 – The European deadlines of the Pnrr Health Mission as of March 31st have all been respected: the Gimbe Foundation communicates this, reporting the results of its independent monitoring. “The European targets – explains Nino Cartabellotta, president of the Foundation – have all been achieved as no new deadlines affecting the payment of the installments were foreseen as of 31 March 2024 and all those relating to the years 2021-2023 had already been reached as of 31 December 2023 “. “Even if they do not affect the disbursement of Pnrr funds – notes Cartabellotta – these intermediate steps require careful monitoring because they could compromise the related European deadlines”.
Regarding 2023, specifies the president of the Foundation, “three targets have been deferred: two from June 2023 to June 2024, namely the “Stipulation of a contract for artificial intelligence tools to support primary care” and the “Stipulation of contracts for the construction of the Territorial Operations Centres”. The further target “New patients receiving home care (first part)” deferred from March 2023 to March 2024 was reached at the scheduled deadline, together with that expected for March 2024 “New patients who receive home care (second part)”. “Having achieved the objectives for integrated home care (Adi) in the over 65s – comments Cartabellotta – the current delays on the national deadlines are not particularly critical. However, the achievement of the national objectives on the ADI is conditioned by significant regional differences, resulting both from the “starting point” of the Southern Regions and their ability to recover the gap with the launch of the Pnrr”. In particular, the intermediate target to reach the 2026 objective of approximately 1.5 million over 65s in Adi, compared to a national average of 101% which represents the percentage increase as of 31 December 2023, sees the Autonomous Province of Trento in the lead ( 235%), Umbria (206%), Puglia (145%) and Tuscany (144%). Results that compensate for those of Sardinia (77%), Campania (62%) and, above all, Sicily which remains at the bottom of the list. 1%”.
