Poland erects border fence with Russian enclave of Kaliningrad

by time news

At the end of October, the information portal of virtual Poland claimed that the airport in the enclave of Kaliningrad, Russia, had signed agreements to allow the arrival of new carriers likely to open flights to the Middle East. It did not take long for the reaction of the Polish authorities. Poland, which shares 210 kilometers of border with the Russian enclave, officially announced, on November 2, the launch of the construction of a fence similar to that which already circles the border with Belarus. Since the summer of 2021, the Belarusian dictator, Alexander Lukashenko, has been orchestrating a migration crisis there, to which the Polish authorities have responded with pushbacks.

“The work of the military engineers of the Polish army to build a temporary fence on the border with Kaliningrad Oblast will begin today,” thus informed Mariusz Blaszczak, the Polish Defense Minister, during a press conference held on November 2, reports virtual Poland in another article.
