Elections to the Uttar Pradesh Assembly are being held in 7 phases. With the completion of the 5th phase election, the 6th phase election will take place tomorrow (Thursday).
Voting is taking place in 57 constituencies in 10 districts. Recording takes place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The election campaign in those constituencies ended at 6 pm yesterday. Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress general secretary Priyanka have campaigned in these constituencies.
There are 676 candidates in the field. Among them, First Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is contesting from Gorakhpur constituency, is the main candidate. This is the first time he is running in the assembly elections.
State Congress leader Ajay Kumar Lallu, Swamiprasad Maurya from Samajwadi Party from BJP and 5 ministers will also be in the field tomorrow. 2 crore 14 lakh people are eligible to vote.
