Consumers are urged to check packaging and remove affected products from thier homes.
The FDA announced the recall in a recent statement, emphasizing the importance of consumer awareness and immediate action. According to the agency, the withdrawal stems from potential allergen contamination that could lead to serious health consequences for those with peanut sensitivities.

From there, it was sent to distribution centers in California, Florida, georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, Oregon, and Texas, ultimately reaching retail locations across the United States.
Consumer Complaints Prompted Recall
The recall was initiated after The Farmer Companies, Inc. notified Jody’s Inc. of two consumer complaints – reports of finding peanuts within the bags. “The company has requested that consumers return the product to the point of purchase or discard it immediately,” a company release stated.
While no adverse reactions or incidents have been reported to date, authorities are strongly advising consumers to suspend consumption of the recalled popcorn immediately and follow the recommended return or disposal procedures.
Severe Allergic Reactions a Key Concern
the FDA’s action is particularly focused on protecting individuals with severe peanut allergies, as even trace amounts of the allergen can trigger serious, perhaps life-threatening reactions. “Extreme caution is recommended for those who suffer from these types of allergies and purchased these popcorn,” one official noted.
