Kannur: Leader of Popular Front arrested in Kannur. Popular Front Kannur South district president Naufal CP was arrested. He was arrested by the Mattannur police.

Police also conducted extensive raids in Wayanad, Palakkad and Alappuzha districts. Swords were recovered from the shop of a Popular Front activist in Wayanad. Raids were conducted in 20 areas in Palakkad city alone. The raids were conducted in areas like Shankuvarathode, BOC Road, Chatanamkurussi, Kalmandapam, Olavakode, Palaghunnam, Pallistreet Pathalkara, Perhumkara and Pookkara Thottam.
Bank account documents were seized in a raid conducted at the house of SDPI leaders in Alappuzha. SDPI inspected Purakkad Panchayat Secretary Sunir’s house and Ambalapuzha North Panchayat member Najeeb’s house. Both were arrested in the hartal violence case.
