Potanin’s Interros registered on Russky Island

by time news

Interros Capital Ltd, owned by the co-owner of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin, using the re-domiciliation mechanism (the procedure for transferring a company from one jurisdiction to another without the need to close it), registered in a special administrative region (SAR) on Russky Island (Primorsky Krai ). This is evidenced by the data published on the website of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE).

According to Vladimir Potanin, the choice of Russky Island is due to the fact that the Interros group plans to become an anchor investor in the Russian Far East. Also, a number of advantages provided by offshore companies have now been realized and continue to develop in special administrative regions of Russia, making them extremely attractive for investors, Mr. Potanin said.

Prior to re-domiciliation, Interros Capital Ltd was incorporated in Cyprus. It was called Bonico Holdings Co. Ltd. Now the founder of Interros is Cypriot Whiteleave holdings limited. The authorized capital of the company is 305 billion rubles.

Today Interros manages a 35.9% stake in PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel.
