jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) determined that the vote tally for the presidential and vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka was superior in South Sumatra (Sumsel) Province.

The ratification of the presidential election results in the South Sumatra region was determined at a plenary meeting to recapitulate the results of the national vote which was held at the Indonesian KPU office, Jakarta, Monday (11/3).

Chairman of the Indonesian KPU, Hasyim Asy’ari, said that the number of ballot papers used for the 2024 Presidential Election matched the voting rights holders who attended the polling stations (TPS), as well as the number of valid and invalid votes, namely 5,436,127.

“For South Sumatra Province, we can accept it and validate it, yes, bismillah it’s legal,” said Hasyim during the plenary meeting.

In the forum, South Sumatra KPU Chairman Andika Pranata Jaya stated that the Anies-Muhaimin vote was 997,299 votes, the Prabowo-Gibran pair was 3,649,651 votes, and the Ganjar-Mahfud pair was 606,681 votes.

He said the number of voters recorded on the final voter list (DPT) in South Sumatra Province was 6,326,348 people.

From the DPT figures, the number of people who exercised their right to vote was 5,321,628 people.

Then, there were 32,282 people who used their voting rights from the additional voters list (DPTb), and 82,217 people used their voting rights from the special voters list (DPK).

Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto won absolutely in South Sumatra in the 2024 presidential election, while Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo’s votes were only like this.
