On April 14, 2023, the Third Session of the Joint Committee on Economic, Trade and Investment Cooperation between Vietnam and Uruguay was held online in Hanoi and Montevideo. Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai and Uruguayan Deputy Foreign Minister Nicolás Albertoni co-chaired the meeting.

Vietnam welcomes Eastern Uruguay to recognize and license the import of Vietnamese mandarins into the Eastern market Uruguay.
