US President Joe Biden has criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine as a continuing threat to spread to the West, a third world war.
The United States has repeatedly accused Russia of plotting to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Russia has denied the allegations, accusing the United States of hiding chemical and biological weapons in Ukraine.
In this context, US President Joe Biden will travel to Poland, a European country bordering Ukraine. The tour is said to be aimed at realizing that the United States will protect every inch of the NATO alliance.
US President Biden will arrive by private plane in Rezov, Poland, about 80 kilometers (60 miles) from the war-torn Ukrainian border.
During the visit, he will meet with the US 82nd Air Force, which is part of NATO’s military force, and will discuss consultations on increasing troops in the East.
He will also inquire about humanitarian measures for the Ukrainian people affected by the war.
Russia’s war in Ukraine has raised fears of further escalation, with key decisions being made at a NATO emergency meeting in Brussels yesterday (Thursday) about increasing NATO forces in Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Bulgaria.
