A Dual Narrative of Faith and Animal Companionship
“Since I Found You†distinguishes itself through it’s innovative narrative structure. Each chapter begins with a viewpoint from Tempesta, the dog credited with profoundly impacting Don cosimo’s life, followed by the priest’s reflections, viewed through the lenses of faith, psychology, and compassion.
The book is not simply a tale of affection between a priest and his dog, but a deeper exploration of hidden emotional scars, loneliness, and the potential for renewal. Through Tempesta’s eyes, readers are invited into the daily life of a priest grappling with personal pain and vulnerability, discovering how the unconditional love of an animal can foster inner healing, friendship, and a connection to the divine.
“It is the most personal book I have written because inside these pages there are my struggles, my falls and that unexpected caress that came with Tempesta,†don cosimo Schena stated. “I would like those who read it to feel one simple thing: even your story, however wounded, can find a new light.â€
