Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trial resumes today (Monday). Until 11:00 a hearing will be held according to S. 144 in case 4000. The hearing was originally scheduled for October 9 and was postponed. At its center are pending issues regarding the agreements on the discussions between the parties, and the waiver of witnesses both in the submission of consent of materials without the need for testimony and in witnesses who will waive their testimony.
After that, witnesses will continue in the case 1000 the gift case: at 11:00 Audi Angel will testify. Angel is the controlling owner of L. N. Or (communications) company, which held 51% of the shares of the network franchise. At the beginning of 2019, when the activities of Reshet and Channel 10 were merged (and they moved to broadcast on Channel 13), the owners of Reshet decreased to holding about 30% of the channel. Angel’s share in the television franchise is about 8%.
His testimony will be relevant to the part of the indictment dealing with the Reshet-Kashet merger. In his investigation in Brighton, Milchan said: “I will make the whole story with Keshet and Keshet simple for you, I would not be ready to enter as an investor before there is a merger between Keshet and Keshet.”
Judge Bar-Am: “Was there any kind of commercial or economic negotiation between the parties?”
Milchan: “No, Audi (Angel MV) did not want to merge at all and it was not relevant. There is no economic sense to enter while there are two networks.”
At 14:00 tomorrow, Gabriel (Gabi) Golan will testify, his testimony will deal with the Tata project, following the three witnesses who already testified about it last week.
