Prize for “Brüggen strolls”
The “Together Burggemeinde” association received prize money of 1,000 euros from the Middle Lower Rhine Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As part of the “Shop Home” campaign, the IHK called on advertising communities in the region to come up with, design and ultimately implement new formats. The “Brüggen strolls” campaign convinced the IHK.
“In addition to the existing campaigns such as the start of the children’s holiday, the association has launched another local shopping event called ‘Brüggen strollt’, which enlivens the castle community,” says the IHK managing director Daniela Perner. “We would like to reward this effort.”
The IHK launched the “Shop for Home” campaign in the Middle Lower Rhine ten years ago to draw attention to the relevance of local retail, restaurants and service companies. “Since then, entrepreneurs have continued to breathe life into this campaign,” says Perner. “In addition to their daily business operations, they invest time in organizing events or highlights that make the city centers even more lovable and livable for customers.” And the organizers of “Brüggen strolls” have succeeded in doing this particularly well.
“Continuously doing good” was the motto of the Bracht depot run, which was organized as a joint fundraising run by TSF Bracht and Depotrunners Bracht. More than 150 runners and walkers not only collected many kilometers together, but also collected donations. A total of 825 euros was raised. The recipients were the DRK local association in Brüggen and its disability support as well as the gymnastics and athletics department of the TSF Bracht.
In addition to a Christmas donation of 1,500 euros from the waste disposal company EGN, the support association for the “Gemeinsam (er)leben” living group in Niederkrüchten was pleased to receive a donation of 1,000 euros. The owner of the Schwanen-Apotheke in Niederkrüchten, Cornelia Steiger, according to the association, started a fundraising campaign a few months ago. Homemade money boxes were set up in all four pharmacies. Customers and employees donated diligently, Steeger topped up the proceeds again so that 1,000 euros were raised. The support association wants to use this donation for the car that the shared apartment uses.
