Argentine football does not give up. Hours after consecrating Estudiantes a new champion of the League Cup, The Professional League confirmed this Monday the schedule for the first four dates of the tournament, which will begin next weekend.
The La Plata team defeated Vélez on penalties this Sunday at the Madre de Ciudades stadium in Santiago del Estero, after tying 1-1 in regulation time and overtime, but Argentine soccer will not have a break. The action will return starting this Friday with three games: Sarmiento–Instituto de Córdoba, Argentinos Juniors–Rosario Central and Newell’s–Platense.
The first team of the so-called greats that will debut in the competition will be Independiente, on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in Avellaneda against Talleres de Córdobawhile At 8 p.m. it will be River’s turn at home against Central Córdoba in Santiago del Estero. While, On Sunday at 3:30 p.m., San Lorenzo will visit Deportivo Riestra, while At 5:45 p.m. Racing will travel to Córdoba to face Belgrano and at 8:15 p.m. Boca will do the same to face Atlético Tucumán.
