In the rural commune of Damakania located 7 kilometers from the urban center of Kindiahe is the prefect of Kindia who chaired the installation ceremony of the new municipal team. As soon as he was installed, the new president delivered his ambitions which consist of fighting against land conflicts and organized crime which is growing in the locality.
It is a team made up of 7 people including 2 women who will now lead the destiny of this rural commune closest to the urban center of Kindia. Mr. Ibrahima Sylla, the president of this new team is aware of the extent of the challenge, particularly the fight against land conflicts which are legion in this locality. “We often say that it is a team that wins, we are 7 people in number and beyond these people, we are going to set up two commissions which will strengthen the team. With this we will solve at least some problems, not 100 percent but at least 60 percent of the problems that will arise during our reign in this municipality of Damakania. Regarding property conflicts, if they exist, we will hold meetings. We are also going to set up working commissions which will do their work and based on that ourselves, that is to say the special delegation, we will see what is needed to find the solution by in relation to these property conflicts which persist in the community. Concerning crime, whatever its nature, we are already going to have meetings with the sub-prefect so that the security services who are there reinforce what they are doing in Damakania. Crime is everywhere, when people are in good faith, they cannot destroy other people’s pineapple fields. So we must not see the problem as it is, we must analyze the problem to find out how this happened,” he explains.
Continuing, Mr. Ibrahima Sylla requests support from technical and financial partners for the development of this locality. “I am going to tell the population of Damakania that it is a team which is made up of 7 people and this team is from Damakania. She comes from Damakania, she comes from Damakania and serves Damakania. So we ask all social strata, young people, women, old people, religious people, civil society, and NGOs to support the team. By supporting the team we will be able to put in place the milestones for the development of this municipality. », he adds.
