This is a macabre discovery that occurred on the night of Tuesday May 7, 2024 in Massia, an area within the district of Samoreya, in the sub-prefecture of Damakania, prefecture of Kindia.

Two bodies, all motorcycle taxi drivers, were found in an unfinished building by citizens, their motorcycles taken away by their executioners.

It was around 7 p.m. while the young people were preparing to follow the Champions League semi-final match that these two bodies were discovered. Among these two victims, only one body has been identified so far. This is Bafodé Camara, recently married.

»Indeed, it is my brother named Bafodé Camara, I cannot say when he was killed but we found the bodies around 7 p.m. It was my friend, Yaliyali’s brother, warrior name, who called me that there are two bodies in Massia, to go and see if I can identify them. When we arrived at the scene, there were the police there. When I got inside the building, I didn’t recognize the first one because his head was covered in sand and he was tied up. When I returned to the other side, I recognized my brother Bafodé’s shoes and finally I knew it was him. I started crying and went out. He got married a week before Ramadan and his wife is in family status,” explained Mohamed Soumah, the brother of the deceased.

The other body also, a motorcycle taxi driver, has not yet been identified. As for Bafodé Soumah, this is not the first time that he has been dispossessed of his rolling machine, added his brother.

“It’s his fifth motorcycle that we’ve taken away like that. The others often involve maraboutage. This time, it was a TVS125 motorcycle that we took away,” he explains.

After the discovery, the two bodies were transported to the Alpha Oumar Diallo regional hospital in Kindia.
