The hefty bill has already arrived for some owners. Since the end of August, taxpayers not making monthly payments (the others will have to wait until the end of the week) have discovered the painful situation with an unpleasant surprise in store. This year, in fact, property taxes have increased significantly for almost all taxpayers. The reason ? Last fall, the government voted, in the finance law, for an automatic increase of 7.1%, linked to the revaluation of rental values, itself indexed to inflation. Enough to mechanically increase the local tax of all owners.
