The Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment against District Prosecutor Konstantin Sulev, the Sofia City Court reports.
He is one of the four prosecutors who investigated the activities of Petyo Petrov-Euroto in May of this year.
The case was seized by the city prosecutor’s office, where it was dismissed. Materials were separated from him, on which Sulev is now being prosecuted.
According to his colleagues from the higher instance, he violated and did not fulfill his official duties in order to obtain a benefit for the former chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev (then still acting, author’s note) by not allowing information against him to be published in the media space, as well as with the aim of causing harm to Petyo Petrov and his confidant Kristiyan Hristov.
The latter is an employee of Pepi Euroto and was the formal owner of the elevator factory taken over by Iliya Zlatanov. In May Hristov wanted to give a press conference in the BTA, but by order of the prosecutor Sulev was declared wanted and detained by the GDBOP in front of the BTA.
From the testimony of witnesses against Pepi Evroto, it is clear that Hristov is his employee and a frequent visitor at the restaurant “Osemte Djujeta”.
