Serang District Attorney Names New Suspect in Government Land Corruption Case
The Serang District Attorney’s Office (Kejari) has named a new suspect in a corruption case involving the leasing of government land in the Maulana Yusuf Stadium area.
New Suspect Identified
The new suspect, identified only by initials BA, was a third party who entered into a cooperation agreement with the Serang City Tourism, Youth and Sports Service (Kadisparpora). BA managed and rented out stalls in the area.
Alleged Corruption
The cooperation between BA and the previous suspect was not conducted in accordance with established procedures. BA allegedly earned a profit of almost half a billion rupiah from renting kiosks built on government land.
Investigation Details
The Serang District Attorney’s Office is still investigating the case and has not disclosed any further details.
