The Attorney General’s Office announced that it will file charges against Major Duván Andrés Muñoz Hernández, who is assigned to the Protection Headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic.
This legal action arises after an investigation in which abundant evidence was collected that points to the officer as possibly responsible for acts of restraint. and undue pressure on the former nanny of the former Chief of Staff of the Presidency of the Republic, Laura Camila Sarabia Torres.
According to prosecutors from the Specialized Directorate against Corruption and the Specialized Directorate against Human Rights Violations, the events in question occurred in January 2022, after the loss of a sum of money at the residence of Sarabia Torres. The former employee, identified as Marelbys Meza Buelvas, would have been subjected to an irregular polygraph practice in a building next to the Casa de Nariño.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office During the polygraph test, Meza Buelvas was deprived of her cell phone and later he was alone with Major Muñoz Hernández for almost an hour. Given these facts, the Prosecutor’s Office will charge Major Duván Andrés Muñoz Hernández with the crime of illegal restraint. The diligence for this process will be carried out on the date determined by the Judiciary.
