PSG draws with Stade Brestois and sees the Frenchman’s lead diminish

This Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) hosted Stade Brestois, in the last game for the 19th round of the French Championship, and drew 2-2. Asensio participated in both goals and was the highlight of the match.

PSG remains at the top of Ligue 1 with 44 points, six points ahead of Nice, who won in the round and closed the gap. Stade Brestois, in turn, has 35 points and completes the group of the top three.

This Friday, at 5pm (Brasília time), Mbappé’s team faces Strasbourg, away from home, in the 20th round of the French Championship. Stade Brestois will host Nice next Sunday, at 1:05 pm.

Paris Saint-Germain started the game by creating several opportunities and, after missing a few goals, opened the scoring with Asensio, in the 33rd minute of the opening half. The Spaniard received a pass from Barcola and finished first, scoring a great goal.

At the end of the first half, in the 44th minute, Kolo Muani expanded. Barcola played the ball at speed again for Asensio, who crossed the ball. The goalkeeper gave the rebound and the Frenchman arrived to find the net.

The second half started with Stade Brestois pressing. The visitors pulled one back after nine minutes, with an own goal from Danilo Pereira. Camara made a great move and finished in the small area. The ball deflected off the PSG defender and dislocated Donnarumma.

In the 34th minute of the second half, Brestois equalized with another beautiful goal in the match. Midfielder Pereira Lage did well after a low cross from Satriano.
