Puducherry: Puducherry state AIADMK ex-state secretary and ex-legislator Pookadai Natarajan hanged himself at his house in Willianur.
Natarajan is a former AIADMK state secretary of Puducherry state and a former legislator. He committed suicide by hanging himself at his house this evening. The people in the house who came to know about this immediately informed the Willianur police station. The police rushed to take possession of the body and are investigating the cause of death. AIADMK’s former MLA Natarajan’s supporters gather in front of his house after learning of his death.
He was the state secretary of AIADMK and won the election as MLA twice in 1991-96 and 1996-2001. He was also the Legislative Assembly Party Leader of AIADMK. Later, he joined DMK and was the President of Willianur Commune Panchayat from 2006-11. Later he joined the NR Congress party and contested the elections and failed. After that he joined AIADMK and contested the election and lost. Till now he was in AIADMK. According to police sources, he may have hanged himself due to family issues.
