A medical student from Pudukottai, who had gone to China for training after completing his medical studies in China 20 days ago on the invitation of the university, fell ill and died there. The parents and relatives of the deceased student have made a tearful request that the central and state governments should take steps to at least bring the dead body to their hometown.

Sheikh Abdullah was the son of Syed Abul Hasan of Pudukottai Bose. He started studying medicine at QIQIHAR MEDICAL UNIVERSITY in China in 2017-18 and passed. Sheikh Abdullah, a student who completed his education online due to the corona virus for the past three years, went back to China on the 11th for medical training. After that, Sheikh Abdullah, who was quarantined for eight days due to Corona according to the rules of the country, then went to his university.

After this, Sheikh Abdullah’s parents have received information from the university administration that he is being treated in the ICU at Harban City Hospital a week ago.

The student’s parents, who were worried due to the rapid spread of the different corona virus in China, contacted the people there and told them that he was not affected by the corona virus and that he had liver damage and the doctors were treating it.

After this, his father Syed Abulhasan Sadali took a loan from his relatives and sent Rs 6 lakh 40 thousand. Sheikh Abdullah’s parents had sent a petition to the district collector and then to the central and state governments on the 26th to bring their son back alive.

In this case, Sheikh Abdullah passed away today without treatment, Chinese University administration has informed his parents. Not only his parents were shocked by this, but the entire Bose Nagar area is in distress.

While Sheikh Abdullah’s parents took a loan by working as a wage earner and sent him to study medicine in China, the sight of his parents struggling to bring even the body of their dead son back to their hometown has left viewers in the lurch.

The central and state governments should immediately intervene in this issue and take steps to bring the body of the dead student to his hometown or arrange for him to be buried there according to the Islamic method. Apart from that, the relatives of the deceased student have also demanded that the central and state governments provide appropriate compensation to the family.
