On Friday, December 12, 28 residents from across Thurrock – including those from Purfleet, West Thurrock, Aveley, and South Ockendon – convened at the Community Hall of the Mulberry Drive Complex in purfleet for a special Christmas party. The afternoon was filled with festive cheer, begining with a delightful two-course Christmas dinner. Entertainment followed, featuring a lively bingo game and a spirited quiz, ensuring fun for all attendees.
A especially special guest made an appearance, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces: Father Christmas.He distributed cheerful Christmas gifts, with 93-year-old Chrissy, the eldest attendee, among those receiving a present.
Extending the Holiday Spirit to Those at Home
The spirit of giving extended beyond the Community Hall. Volunteers also prepared and delivered takeaway Christmas dinners to eight house-bound residents,ensuring they too could enjoy a festive meal in the comfort of their homes.
