For the first time since the war broke out in Ukraine, US President Joe Biden said that “President Putin’s dictator is committing genocide in Ukraine. He seems to even want to erase the idea of the possibility of identifying as a Ukrainian in Ukraine.”
Biden also claimed that the reason for the severe inflation in the United States was mainly due to Putin: “70% of inflation in the United States was caused by the rise in Putin’s fuel prices.”
In Kiev they responded to the remarks of the President of the United States, and welcomed his words and wrote that “a true leader knows how to say real things.”
Alongside this, French President Emmanuel Macron, who is considered a president who takes a gentle hand against Russia (as opposed to Johnson and Biden) was asked by a journalist whether he also thinks Russia is committing genocide.
The French president evaded an unequivocal answer, saying that “we know about war crimes in Ukraine”, without answering the question asked.
Meanwhile, in Russia it is claimed that 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered in Mariupol near a steel plant. A Ukrainian military spokesman said he did not know the details and were investigating.
