Both the US government, which warned Russia before the terrorist attack about Islamists preparing to attack a concert hall in Moscow, and French President Emmanuel Macron, based on what was reported by their intelligence services, have confirmed that the terrorist attack in Russia was carried out by Islamists.
On the other hand, Russian experts and commentators in the Western media point out that V. Putin’s rejection of the narrative of blaming Ukraine would mean admitting that all efforts in compiling lists of terrorists and extremists, including those condemning the war in Ukraine, representatives of the LGBT community and critics of the Kremlin, were in vain, as it turned out that security forces are unable to protect citizens from Islamist terrorists.
