Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree by which he presented the award to young cultural figures in 2022: ballet dancer Sergei Polunin, sculptor Ekaterina Pilnikova and director Aidar Zabbarov. This document is posted on the portal of legal information.
As noted in the decree, Zabbarov was awarded the prize for his contribution to the development of domestic theatrical art, Pilnikova – for the creation of a series of sculptural works that immortalized outstanding figures of Russian culture and art, Polunin – for his contribution to the development and popularization of domestic choreographic art.
