Putin instructed Roscosmos to think about creating vehicles for low orbits

Russian President Vladimir Putin issued instructions to Roscosmos and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to assess the feasibility of implementing a separate space program of satellites in orbits up to 200 km and manufacturing prototypes.

“Operating in extremely low orbits,” the document says.

Based on the results of the consideration of the initiative, Roscosmos and ASI should evaluate the required amount of work and sources of funding if the program is recognized as appropriate.
