The International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” is a large-scale and extraordinary forum that has been enriching the cultural life of many countries for decades and making a significant contribution to strengthening the spiritual ties between the Slavic peoples. This is stated in the address of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the participants and guests of the festival, published on Thursday, July 13.

The Russian leader noted the richness and diversity of the festival program. In particular, under the auspices of the Union State, a concert of Russian and Belarusian performers will be held, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Igor Mikhailovich Luchenok, an outstanding Soviet and Belarusian composer.

Putin thanked the organizers and wished everyone inspiration and unforgettable impressions, the Kremlin press service reports.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, in turn, pointed out that the festival’s motto “Through art to peace and understanding” has never been so relevant. According to the politician, its participants create peace, and this is the main mission of the “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”.

Lukashenka noted that artists coming to the festival from around the world “say no” to all artificially created barriers between peoples and countries, to all imposed stereotypes and opinions about our countries, BelTA informs.

Russian, Belarusian and Soviet pop stars came to the “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”. Among them are Sergei Lazarev, Yuri Antonov, Alexander Marshal, Alexander Serov, Alexander Solodukha, Syabrov soloist Anatoly Yarmolenko, Ruslan Alekhno, Angelina Vovk and many others.
