The French president is reportedly in talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the occupation of the Ukrainian city of Mariupol. French President Emmanuel Macron plans to hold talks with Cory Putin over the next 48 to 72 hours on the situation in Ukraine and to leave the besieged city of Mariupol. Moreover, Macron expressed dissatisfaction with President Putin’s announcement that only rubles would be accepted for gas sales, insisting that Russia should not violate the agreement.
