Woody Brown, who made history in 2022 as the first nonspeaking autistic graduate of UCLA wiht top writing honors, will release his debut novel, UPWARD BOUND (Hogarth), on March 31, 2026. Brown, a Columbia University MFA graduate, currently resides in New York City with his husband and two cats, and has been published in outlets like Teen Vogue and Cosmopolitan.
New Voices in Children’s Literature
An honorable mention was also given to Emeline Atwood and her debut novel,A REAL ANIMAL (Catapult, a PRHPS client), also featured in the Literary Fiction category.
