new York and Toronto – The Professional women’s Hockey League (PWHL) today revealed its ‘Starting Six’ players for November, recognizing the league’s top performers from the month. The selections, announced on December 2, 2025, highlight extraordinary contributions from forwards, defenders, and a goaltender, as determined by a vote of the Women’s Chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association (PHWA) and PWHL broadcast personnel. Forward Taylor Girard of the New York Sirens made an immediate impact in the 2025-26 season, registering a remarkable hat trick against the Ottawa Charge on November 22nd. Girard’s three consecutive goals in the third period secured a 4-0 victory and marked the first hat trick in her PWHL career. “Her performance was truly exceptional,” noted a senior league official. She became the first player in PWHL history to score three goals in a single period, and recorded the league’s second natural hat trick, following Grace Zumwinkle’s feat in January 2024. The 27-year-old’s seven shots on goal during that game were a career high, and her offensive output equaled her entire production from the 2024-25 season (one goal, two assists in 23 games). Girard currently leads all skaters in goals scored through the first month of play.

Brianne Jenner: Ottawa Charge Captain Leads League in Points

Ottawa Charge captain Brianne Jenner has demonstrated exceptional offensive leadership to start the 2025-26 season. Jenner opened the season with four points in her first two games, accumulating seven shots and nearly 20 minutes of ice time. She currently leads all skaters in total points and is tied for second in both goals and assists. Her standout performance came on November 26th against the Vancouver Goldeneyes,where she recorded two goals and two assists,tying the PWHL record for most points in a single game.Jenner’s versatility was on full display, contributing on goals at even strength, on the power play, and while shorthanded. The 34-year-old also excelled in the faceoff circle, winning 11 of 16 draws – her highest volume since the 2024 season.
