The president of the Football Federation of Armenia, Ruben Hayrapetyan, responded to the statement of the FAF fan club of the Armenian national team. To remind, the FAF issued a statement in which it was informed that if there is no response from the FFA by November 16, then the FAF will carry out a protest march of fans from the statue of Aram Khachatryan to Khanjyan Street, the Football Federation of Armenia.
In this regard, R. Hayrapetyan’s answer is written on the official page of FFA.
“I was happy to learn that the group called FAF has started to act with demand-making problems, but I was surprised that the demand-making is related to the Armenian national team and the Football Federation of Armenia. I thought that a group called FAF might have demanding tendencies towards, say, the Italian national team or the Italian Football Federation.
Everyone remembers the warmth and concern with which they fanned, for example, the Italian national team. In general, the group called FAF has a lot of experience in organizing mini-shows, but in terms of fanning foreign teams at crucial moments for the Armenian national team.
The group called FAF would do well to realize that the Armenian national team has an army of hundreds of thousands of loyal fans both in Armenia and around the world, who really stand by the Armenian national team and Armenian football in every situation. They don’t serve their own interests, they don’t perform dirty tasks, they don’t serve the team and football to their petty ambitions. They are always with our national team and especially in crucial moments for the team, and we will do everything for our team to regain the game it deserves.
The Football Federation of Armenia and I personally have repeatedly expressed our gratitude to our hundreds of thousands of loyal fans. We will do everything to make our national team return their dedication to them. There are many organizations of fans of the Armenian national team in Armenia and abroad, and we are also grateful to them for their work, comments and advice. No group is given the right to speak on behalf of all fans of the national team.
I would recommend a group called FAF to engage in tourist activities and buying and selling tickets. It works better.”
