The Asia Cup T20 Cup Qualifiers have reached the final stage.

The Asian Cricket Council has been organizing the Asia Cup since 1984. The tournament will be held in both 50 over and T20 format. The Indian team has won the Asia Cup seven times. The 2022 Asia Cup was to be held in Sri Lanka. Due to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka and the continuous protests of the people, the Asia Cup T20 tournament is being held in the United Arab Emirates instead of Sri Lanka. India and Pakistan will face each other on August 28 in the match which will be held from August 27 to September 11.

India, Pakistan and three qualifiers are in Group A and Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are in Group B. The top two teams in both divisions will meet in the Super 4 round.

UAE, Kuwait, Singapore and Hong Kong will play in Asia Cup T20 Qualifiers from August 20 to 24. Each team will play three games each. The top four teams – India and Pakistan will be placed in Group A.

So far all teams have played 2 matches each. Hong Kong is on top after winning both games. UAE and Kuwait are the next two teams with 2 points. Singapore is in last place without a win.

Today’s matches will be played between Kuwait – Singapore and Hong Kong – United Arab Emirates.

If Hong Kong wins today’s match, they will qualify for the main event. UAE’s net run rate (1.045) is better than Hong Kong’s (0.716). So if UAE wins today’s match then that team will qualify. Hong Kong have never beaten the United Arab Emirates in a T20 International.

Kuwait team is with 2 points (net run rate -0.421). The team must first defeat Hong Kong if they are to qualify. Then they need to beat Singapore by at least 78 runs to get past the UAE. Or chase the target in 11 overs. If Singapore beats Kuwait, the winner of the Hong Kong-UAE match will qualify. As a result, today’s games are expected to be very exciting.
