Nagercoil: Rahul Gandhi trekked from Agastheeswaram for the 2nd day in Kumari district on Thursday. On his way to Suchindram, Nagercoil, the public gathered on both sides of the road and gave him an enthusiastic welcome.

Rahul Gandhi, who participated in a public meeting at Kanyakumari after starting the walk in the name of India Unity Journey, came to Agastheeswaram Vivekananda College and stayed in a caravan van. Similarly, 119 other people who were trekking with him stayed in the caravan. Rahul Gandhi started the 2nd day walk from Agastheeswaram Vivekananda College at 7.15 am today. Senior Congress functionary Kumari Ananthan met him then and talked to him. Rahul Gandhi inquired about his health.

Rahul hiked with the trekking group carrying the national flag. Then the public, students and students standing on the road saw Rahul Gandhi and waved enthusiastically. So he went near them and spoke. The trekking group reached Kottaram Junction in an hour.

From there via Poreiyadi, Eathangadu, Valukammaparai at around 10.30 in the morning Suchindram SMS. He reached the school. On his way, people standing on the roadside took selfies of Rahul’s walk and expressed their happiness. He bought and drank the fresh water provided by the volunteers while walking.

Tamil Nadu Congress President KS Azhagiri, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bagal, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Khelat, Congress Senior Observer Dinesh Kundurao, Former Union Minister Chidambaram, MPs Vijay Vasanth, Jyothimani, Sellakumar, Jayakumar, Thirunavukarasar, M.P. .LAs Rubimanokaran, Rajeshkumar, Prince, Vijayatharani, Congress East District President KT Udayam, and many administrators were present.

After rest, Rahul Gandhi and his team started their walk from Suchindra around 4 PM and reached Scott College in the evening via Kotaru Saveriar Temple junction in Nagercoil.

Rahul Gandhi will start the 3rd day walk tomorrow from Scott College. He reaches Puliyurkurichi in the afternoon from Parvathipuram via Sungankadai, Thiruvananthapuram National Highway section, Villukhuzi. From there he reaches St. Mary’s ICSE School Mulakumudu via Takkala Mettukada Masjid.

4th Day Trek starts from Mulakumoot on 10th and reaches Marthandam Neshamani College in the afternoon. From there in the evening Kulithurai junction reaches Thalaichanvilai, a part of Kerala via Padantalumoodu. Many Congress workers and youth joined the Rahul Gandhi walking group on the route.

In order to further strengthen the Congress party and energize the volunteers, Rahul Gandhi MP. He started the “Bharat Jodo Yatra” India Unity Walk from Kanyakumari Gandhi Mandapam yesterday. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin inaugurated the walk. It is noteworthy that he will reach Kashmir by trekking a distance of 3500 km from Kanyakumari in 150 days through 12 states.
