Since April, international transport giants have been taking a little-used route to import “made in China” products into Europe: a route called “middle corridor», where the journey is mainly by train, but which includes some crossings by boat. “Containers arrive from China by rail to the port of Aktau, Kazakhstanexplains Maersk in a press release. There they are loaded onto a barge to cross the Caspian Sea to Baku, Azerbaijan. Then they go by train to Poti, Georgia, where they cross the Black Sea by boat to Constanta, Romania.
