jpnn.comJAKARTA – Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC) Raja Sapta Oktohari believes that the Indonesian U-23 National Team can qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

He conveyed this when watching the struggle of the Indonesian vs Uzbekistan national team in the semifinals of the U-23 Asian Cup at Lippo Mall Kemang, Jakarta, Monday (29/4).

In this match, unfortunately the Garuda squad had to give up with a score of 2-0 to Uzbekistan.

The man who is familiarly called Okto continues to appreciate the struggle of Rizky Ridho CS and remains confident that the Garuda squad will appear at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“We witnessed an extraordinary struggle, very extraordinary and we are sure that the struggle will have results. God willing, in the next match we will win and qualify for the Olympics,” said Okto after the ceremony.

Okto also expressed his thanks to PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir, Head Coach Shin Tae-yong, and all the teams, officials, especially athletes.

Okto further said that if Indonesian football qualified for the Paris Olympics, this would be a new history where the contingent would go with a larger number of athletes.
