jpnn.comBOGOR – There are many things to do to do good during the fasting month, one of which is the environmental care program initiated by the Our Universe Movement Community (Gemestta).

The hot weather on Friday (29/3) did not prevent them from planting bamboo trees as an effort to preserve nature in the Babakan Raden area, Cariu, Bogor Regency, West Java.

“Planting trees is one of our programs to make a real contribution to efforts to protect the environment. Gemestta has programs that will continue to be carried out for the good of the earth,” said Chairman of the Movement of Our Universe Community, Arif Maulana Nurbani, in a press release, Friday (29/3 ).

Collaborating with a number of young figures such as the founder of the Asian Disaster Management & Civil Protection Expo & Conference Andrian Cader and the founder of the Langit Biru Pertiwi community Nadia Mulya, Gemestta tries to continue to make a real contribution in efforts to preserve the environment.

Bani hopes that in the future he will continue to collaborate with several parties to carry out activities that have a direct impact on environmental and humanitarian issues.

“We want to invite more young people to be active together to take care of the earth and care more about the environment,” said Bani.

Meanwhile, founder of the Langit Biru Pertiwi community, Nadia Mulya, admitted that she was worried about the recent issue of climate change. This issue, continued Nadia, was the reason why she wanted to continue contributing to planting bamboo trees even though she was fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.

“Bamboo has a significant ability to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere during its growth. By using bamboo as a building material or in planting activities, we can help fight climate change by reducing the amount of carbon dioxide trapped in the atmosphere,” said Nadia.

Realizing that she cannot be alone, Nadia appreciates the green campaign initiated by Gemestta in an effort to slow the rate of climate change.

The Gemestta Community continues to try to do good and love the environment during Ramadan.
