In a statement to the press following the meeting of the Interministerial Commission for monitoring and monitoring the state of market supply and prices in anticipation of the month of Ramadan, Ms. Fettah affirmed that the prices of several Basic food products, such as tomatoes, potatoes and onions have recorded a decline in recent weeks, noting that the supply is sufficient at all markets in the different regions of the Kingdom.

After recalling that during the last three years, the month of Ramadan coincided with a difficult situation, particularly because of inflation and water scarcity, the minister stressed that all departments are mobilized, at central, regional and local to maintain market supplies and intensify price controls, so that the downward trend continues tangibly in all regions of the country.

Ms. Fettah also called for continued mobilization to ensure abundant supply of basic food products to markets and guarantee the sustainability of water resources.

This enlarged meeting, held in application of the High Royal Instructions, intervenes to focus on the market supply situation and prices in anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan, assess the results of surveillance activities, strengthen market control and fight firmly against all forms of speculation and price manipulation and any illegal practice likely to hinder the normal functioning of markets and undermine the health and safety of citizens, the rights of consumers and their power to purchase.
