Rammstein leader: concert in Moscow and the end of the world | Culture and Lifestyle in Germany and Europe | >

by time news

On March 15, 2020 in Moscow, at the VTB Arena stadium, a concert of the vocalist of the Rammstein group Till Lindemann and the Swedish musician Peter Tägtgren took place. The grandiose show was almost the last event of this kind in the world and, as it is now obvious, a kind of farewell to pre-crown time.

As commentators write under posts on Rammstein and Thiel Lindemann’s social networks, the Moscow concert marked “the end of the world as we knew it before the pandemic.” Indeed, literally right after him, everyone went into self-isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Lindemann, who returned from Russia to Germany, went to a hospital bed and even ended up in intensive care. At the same time, the test for coronavirus showed a negative result.

The project with Tägtgren will no longer be

In the fall of last year, the completion of the Lindemann-Tägtgren joint project was announced. The musicians managed to release two albums: “Skills in Pills” (2015) and “F&M” (2019). And each of them successfully took first places in the charts.

On Thursday, May 20, the premiere of the 90-minute film “Live in Moscow”, created on the basis of the recordings, took place in several selected cinemas in Russia, and the next day, audio and video recordings of the concert were released – vinyl, CD, Blu-ray. All products are decorated in the best Soviet traditions: with red kumach wrapping around wheat ears, and a worker with a collective farmer on the covers.

German critics about Moscow concert and live album

Music critics in Germany praise the album with restraint: they say, the duo did not sing anything new and did not please the audience with bonuses. However, the video is regarded as a wonderful gift to all Rammstein and Lindemann fans, as well as to all fans of big live concerts, yearning for spectacles.

Thiel Lindemann’s tour of Europe with the Rammstein group was to continue this year. However, it was canceled due to the pandemic and postponed until 2022. But the tour schedule was replenished with new cities. There are still tickets.
