The prefecture of Puy-de-Dôme has just announced that the singer, close to far-right positions, will not perform on Saturday in Puy-de-Dôme.

The concert of the controversial far-right rapper Millésime K. scheduled for Saturday in Clermont-Ferrand and whose mayor Olivier Bianchi (PS) had called for a ban, is “cancelled”, indicated the prefecture of the department.

“According to information from the prefecture, the concert is canceled”, said the Puy-de-Dôme prefecture to AFP late Thursday afternoon. Olivier Bianchi had made a request to this effect in a letter sent on March 23 to the prefecture, according to the town hall.

According to France Bleu Auvergne, the concert was scheduled about fifteen kilometers south of Clermont-Ferrand. This date in Clermont no longer appeared on the rapper’s site on Thursday. His next concert is announced on April 8 in Paris. With more than 700,000 subscribers on TikTok, Millésime K., is known for his songs close to far-right positions.

The socialist mayor of Lille Martine Aubry had made the same request for a ban on March 21 when he was to perform in his city. The prefecture did not respond. The rapper finally performed in the village Nieppe, 20 kilometers from Lille, according to the Voice of the North. On March 10, he was to start a tour near Grenoble called “Patriot”, with around twenty dates throughout France, but his concert was canceled following the mobilization of several unions and anti-fascist organizations.

“Far-right aggression and terrorism are on the rise everywhere and Millésime K.’s words clearly incite it, it’s time to stop it”denounced these opponents.

One of the managers of the Isérois center dedicated to well-being where the concert was to be held explained that she had been deceived by the approach “dishonest” of the rapper, who would have presented himself as being a company of“corporate event”and had therefore broken the contract.
