by time news

Ukrainian President Zhelensky has said he is ready to accept Russia’s demand that Ukraine adopt neutrality.

The 5th round of talks on ending the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia is scheduled to take place today (Monday) in the European country of Turkey.

In this context, President Zhelensky said he was ready to discuss Russia’s key demand that Ukraine maintain neutrality.

He said in an interview that he was “seriously considering” and was ready to accept Russia’s request for Ukraine to remain a neutral country in security and international relations.

This neutral country is one that maintains neutrality in all matters, without having close ties with the West or with Russia, for example, while countries such as Australia and Sweden remain neutral with neither the European countries nor NATO.

He also promised to ensure that nuclear tests were not carried out in the future.

But he has stated categorically that Ukraine’s military cannot be disbanded and that Russia’s demand is unacceptable.

Speaking further, President Zhelensky said that the first step was to stop the war and discuss accepting the demands.
