Uttarakhand. Real estate sectoral session was organized under the Global Investors Summit. During this period, MoUs were also signed with various companies.
On this occasion, Urban Development and Housing Minister Premchand Aggarwal welcomed the investors to Uttarakhand and said that our state is full of limitless possibilities. He said that if there is heaven anywhere on earth, it is our Uttarakhand. He said that Uttarakhand is also making a small contribution in the resolve of a developed India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through this summit. He said that the amount of attraction towards Uttarakhand in the country and the world can be gauged from the number of people coming to Chardham Yatra every year. Where last year around 46 lakh people came, this year 56 lakh people arrived. A floating population of seven crores reaches here throughout the year. He said that in the coming days, Haridwar-Rishikesh will be rejuvenated on the lines of Varanasi. He called upon all the entrepreneurs to come and invest in Uttarakhand.

Dinesh Kapila, Economic Advisor, Ministry of Housing and Development, Government of India, said that after the introduction of RERA law in the year 2016, this sector was regulated. After the arrival of RERA, more confidence has arisen among people in this sector than before. He said that land is most important in the field of real estate. He said that we should make our policies such that land is easily available and affordable.

Additional Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan said that after the completion of the economic corridor between Delhi-Dehradun in the coming days, the distance between these two cities will be covered in just two and a half hours. Uttarakhand also definitely benefits from being the closest capital city to Delhi NCR.

He said that better law and order and excellent environment in Uttarakhand are favorable for investors. While connectivity has improved after the construction of Chardham All Weather Road in the state, unprecedented work is also being done in the field of air connectivity. After the completion of the construction of Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project, connectivity in the hilly areas will also be improved. He said that land pulling rules are being made easier by the government. The bylaws required for housing are also being simplified. Apart from parking, relaxation in FAR is also being provided in housing projects.

Additional Chief Secretary said that in the coming days, Metro Neo project has been proposed in Dehradun and ropeway projects are also being given impetus. Kalyan Chakraborty, CEO, Emaar India also presented his views on the occasion. Housing Secretary SN Pandey, Tehri Development Authority Vice Chairman Prakash Chand Dumka, MDDA Secretary MS Barnia etc. were present on this occasion.

Possibilities discussed in panel discussion

Omaxe Group MD Mohit Goyal, Raheja Developer MD Naveen Raheja, DS Group Head of Hospitality Nathan Andrews, Antara Senior Living Deputy CEO Ajit Agarwal and Aldeco CEO Rohit Kishore were present. Entrepreneur Abhilesh Bibel presided over this session. During this, the possibilities in the real estate sector in Uttarakhand were discussed in detail. Mohit Goyal suggested that Haridwar, Dehradun and Rishikesh can also be developed on the lines of Chandigarh Tri City. Similarly, Haldwani, Pantannagar and Rudrapur can be developed in Kumaon. He laid emphasis on planned development in the state. Naveen Raheja said that Uttarakhand is the state that provides the safest environment for investment. Nathan Andrews gave his views on how to develop hill cities. Ajay Aggarwal said that the law and order situation here is excellent, hence there is a good environment for industries here. Participating in the panel discussion, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan said that a land bank of seven thousand hectares is being prepared in the state so that the basic needs of the industries can be fulfilled.
