The 2022/23 season in the Spanish league is approaching and today (Thursday) the draw for the games for the new season took place. The season will open on August 14 when champions Real Madrid open the season with an away game against Almeria, while Barcelona will play in the first round at home against Rayo Vallecano. Atletico Madrid will open the game with Getafe.
The first Clasico will take place on October 16, as part of the 9th round of the Santiago Bernabeu. The Clasico at the Camp Nou on March 19, 2023. Madrid’s big derby, between Real and Atletico, will be held on September 18 at the 6th round at Wanda Metropolitano. Sevilla will play in their derby against Real Betis on November 6 in the 13th round and the Catalan derby, between Barcelona and Espanyol, will take place on December 31 in the 15th round at the Camp Nou.
Sean Weissman, the Israeli representative in La Liga, will open the season with Real Valladolid in a game against Villarreal. In the third round, on August 28, his team will be hosted by Barcelona. While on December 31 it will play against Real Madrid at home.

And what about the second league? Well, even though Weissman has been promoted to the Premier League, the Spanish sub-league provides us with intriguing games and great dramas, just as happened in the final round last season. The newcomer, Levante, will host Huasca in the opening round, which will also take place on August 14th. Grande, who also went down, will open against Ibiza away and the third down, Alabs, will be hosted by Leganes. Apart from these meetings, the opening round also provided us with a new immigrant derby, which will bring together Villarreal B with Racing Santander. The first relegation derby will take place in the 14th round when Lavante meets Grande.
