Barcelona: Real Madrid avenged the defeat (1-0) in the first leg at home. Real Madrid beat Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg at the Camp Nou in the final. Royal’s win was by four uncontested goals. Real win against Barca after three straight El Clasico defeats.
Karim Benzema’s hat-trick performance gave Real a stunning win. Their opponents in the final are Osasuna. Benzema’s goals were in the 50th, 58th and 80th minutes. Vinicius Jr. scored a goal.
Despite being in the lead in the first half, Barca could not score a goal. Real’s goal in extra time comes at the point where the first half is going to be tied. The goal came after a counter attack by Vinicius and Rodrigo. Vinicius’ shot was blocked by Barca goalkeeper Terstegen but the ball crossed the goal line.
Then, in the 50th minute, Benzema scored a pass from Luka Modric’s excellent move and increased Real’s lead. The goal was caused by a mistake by the Barca defense that left Benzema unmarked.
Then in the 57th minute, Vinicius was brought down by KC in the penalty box in favor of Real. Benzema netted his second goal of the match.
Benzema scored a hat-trick in the 80th minute. After another counter attack, Benzema had only to flick Vinicius’ pass into the net.
