First let us know which section?

C section is also called cesarean section. However, to avoid any kind of complications at the time of delivery, C-section delivery is resorted to, so that the mother and the fetus remain safe. Let us tell you that in cesarean, the child is born through operation. The decision to do caesarean is taken in the 7th to 9th month or depending on the situation during delivery. However, it is less painful and safer than normal delivery.

Why are cases increasing in the country?

According to experts, if we talk about the 1990s or 2000s, the average weight of a child at birth was 2.2 kg, which has now become an average of 3.1 kg. In such a situation, it is obvious that an underweight child will be born through vaginal delivery, but an overweight child may face problems. This means that the greater the weight of the child, the greater the chances of the child being born through C section.

Neonatal mortality rate has decreased

Experts believe that in earlier times, dead babies were born due to complications during normal delivery, but now the mortality rate has come down. This is because now people have a safe method like C section. A woman who faces difficulty in giving birth through vaginal birth can give birth to her child through C section.

High risk pregnancy is also a reason

Due to high risk pregnancy, the trend of C section delivery has increased in India. According to Dr. Shaili, women are getting married after 35 years. In such a situation, they face difficulty in conceiving a baby. After this age, women have to face problems like hypertension and diabetes during pregnancy, which is a sign of high risk pregnancy. In such a situation, giving birth to a child through C-section is easier and safer than vaginal birth.

What are the guidelines of WHO?

According to WHO guidelines, the rate of C section delivery should not be more than 10-15 percent. But one out of two women in the hospital is giving birth to a child through C section, which is a matter of concern.
