The Hype for Zack Snyder’s Epic Sci-Fi Action Flick “Rebel Moon” Grows with New Trailer
As anticipation continues to build for Zack Snyder’s upcoming sci-fi action film “Rebel Moon,” Netflix has released a new trailer at its Geeked Week event, and it is shaping up to be one of the biggest sci-fi movies of the year.
The film, which is set to premiere on December 15 for a limited theatrical run before coming to Netflix the following week, stars Sofia Boutella as Kora, a former soldier of the Imperium army who recruits a team of warriors to push back against the Imperium and the Mother World, the galaxy-controlling government that commands them.
The star-studded cast includes Djimon Honsou as ex-Imperium general Titus, Doona Bae as cyborg swordswoman Nemesis, Charlie Hunnam as mercenary Kai, Ray Fisher and Cleopatra Coleman as brother-sister duo Darrian and Devra, and Staz Nair as blacksmith beastmaster Tarak.
The new trailer showcases the grand and majestic visuals of the film, which seems to blend elements of “Star Wars,” “Warhammer 40K,” and “Dune” into an epic and visually stunning adventure.
Scheduled for release on April 19, 2024, “Rebel Moon—Part Two: The Scargiver” is also in the works, indicating that Snyder has big plans for this new franchise.
With this release, Snyder aims to create a massive, year-long franchise that promises to be a game-changer in the world of sci-fi action films.
